TESTIMONIES FROM GOMERM UK BRANCH

Bro Oscar

"God led me to this Ministry and He has transformed my life ever since. For the short time I have been with the church, my dreams have come to pass, my life has turned around for the better as a result of many miracles. I have enjoyed love and care form other members, which is reflected in their own respective lives"

Sister Alice

"The past few years in the church have really been wonderful. Joining the church, I was initially felt quite anxious, but everyone was so welcoming and friendly. I can testify to my growth in the LORD. I am more confident in witnessing to people and sharing the good news of the gospel. I give God all the praise, AMEN"

The Egbe Family

"By God’s grace, my wife and I celebrated our 2nd year anniversary, and in the last 2 years, God has blessed us so much. We have had a baby girl, born safely by God’s grace, despite man’s report. And we also would like to thank God for the generosity of the Pastors and the church family after the delivery. We would also like to thank God for our health, and our lives. My wife was experiencing bad dreams of death, and this affected her daily routine, she was uncomfortable to drive alone with our baby, and or drive on the motorway. This was concerning and we worried about her getting to and from work. We spoke to our Pastor about it and he counselled us and by God’s grace, the dreams stopped. We are giving this testimony to confirm the glory of God in our lives and the victory he has given us over death! Amen!"

Brother Bolarinwa

"I had a bad dream that my brother had an accident, and the dream was very vivid and terrible, so when I woke up, I prayed and cancelled the dream in Jesus’ name.I was then coming home from work, not too long afterwards, when I look back I saw a car heading towards me out of controlled, and I was frozen to the spot in horror, but God, in His infinite mercy, made the car stop right before hitting me. As the driver came out, looking quite shocked himself, he commented that I had been very fortunate and he admitted that he had lost control of the car, and he did not know how it stopped before reaching me. I give God all the praise! Amen!"

Sister Bisola

"I want to thank the Almighty God for granting my son admission into the school of our choice. The school is always oversubscribed as it's one of the best schools in the area but through positive confessions and prayers, God gave us breakthrough and he was admitted into the school. Secondly, I want to thank God for giving me success in one of the two professional examination papers I sat for. In spite of sicknesses experienced in the early stages of pregnancy, God saw me through. To Him be all the glory. "

Sister Cynthia

"I went through a period when I had only £600 in my bank account and it was only the beginning of the month. Looking ahead I did not think it would be enough to cover my expenses, and so I approached a friend for a loan. The friend initially promised to help me but then later gave me a long list of excuses why she couldn’t lend me the money and I felt really let down. However, I committed the issue to God’s hands and by His grace, He saw me though. I paid my rent, put fuel in my car, bought groceries and still managed till I was paid again. I don’t know how it happened but I thank God for His provision, Amen!"

Sister Temi

"I will like to thank God for my life. He recently added another year to my life.I also want to thank Him for what He has done is continuing to do in my life. When my now husband and I were courting, we had some challenges and went through a period where we were separated for a number of years. During this time, many discouraged me to give up on the relationship saying that he would not come back to marry me but will meet someone else. We did try and organise the wedding once but the arrangements fell through! My peers were all settling down and having children and I felt left behind, but still believed God. We held on, with the encouragement on the Pastors here (Pastor Asiyanbi), even though we hadn’t even met in person! We are now happily married! We give God all the glory!"

Sister Stella

"I thank God for what He did in my life. I went to the cash point to cash money, but for some reason, walked away without actually taking my money. So I had to approach the bank to appeal to have the money returned to the account. And I had to fill forms to have it investigated, but to God be the glory; I had all the money returned to my account! My sister came to Scotland specifically to gain a Masters degree. However, her studies were interrupted by various obstacles including illness. When she visited, we prayed together and I mad a vow to God, we asked Him to intervene. By His grace I fulfilled my vow to the Lord.At the end of the course, when the senate met, my sister was awarded a post-graduated diploma, but surprisingly, the senate then met again! And they amended their decision, despite the fact that the results had already been posted, and re-awarded my sister with a Masters degree! Thank God!"

Redeemed Christian Church of God Church Introduces Fitness Walk in Abuja

Worried by the high incidence of death caused by chronic diseases the Redeemed Christian Church of GOD (RCCG) Province 4 recently introduced a monthly fitness programme for its members, reports the Daily Trust.

This involves monthly group walk by church members covering a couple of kilometres to enhance physical fitness.

Tagged Walk-For-Life, the exercise aims at boosting the physical and mental prowess of participants to ensure they are healthy for their work in the church.

Information officer of the church, Mrs Ngozi Oboh explained that the Pastor-in-charge of RCCG FCT Province 4, Dr. Dele Babade has introduced the programme in line with the instruction from the bible that there is profit in bodily exercise.

Babade was quoted as saying, "We observed that people are not conversant with certain health information.

"We will use this forum to educate and pass basic information to the members; we will be doing the aerobics, different kinds of medical tests will be carried out free of charge."

The pastor noted that by constant practice, members will get used to physical exercises and then practice such privately so they can live healthier lifestyles afterwards.

He stated, "It calls for concern that in this 'microwave generation', people spend their health to seek wealth and in the end they spend their wealth to regain their health and it is always very difficult and full of challenges at that stage.

"Also if you check the menu list of most families, you'll discover that our diet is mostly laden with carbohydrate and hardly do people have time to exercise and burn off excess fat acquired from the sedentary life they lead."

The provincial pastor explained that there are some cardiac conditions that cannot be well managed until physical exercises are done.

Pastor John Olayemi, Commandant of FCT Unit 3 of RCCG Chaplaincy Corps said this was initiated by the General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who engages all ministers of the church on a similar Prayer Walk once or twice a year at the Redemption Camp in Ogun State.
95 THESES to the MODERN EVANGELICAL CHURCH

-by Greg Gordon.
[Founder of Sermonindex.net]

1. The “church” at large has forgotten that the chief end of man is to glorify
God. (Rom 16:27; 1Cor 6:20; Mt 6:9; 1Cor 10:31)

2. Christians ignore most of the methods, practices and principles found in the
book of Acts. (Acts 2:42,44; Acts 2:46; Acts 2:38)

3. Many treat “church” like any other social club or sports event that they
might attend. (Acts 2:46; Heb 10:25; Acts 1:14)

4. We’ve made Christianity about the individual rather than the community of
believers. (Rom 12:5; 1Cor 12:12; 2Tim 4:16)

5. In most “churches” the priesthood of all believers isn’t acknowledged and
the role of pastor is abused. (1Pt 2:9; 1Cor 12:12; Eph 4:11-13)

6. The “church” as a whole has lost the concept of their being grafted into the
promises given to Israel. (Rom 11:15, 17-18, 20, 25)

7. There needs to be a recovery of teaching the whole counsel of God,
especially in expository form. (Acts 20:27; 1Tim 4:6, 2Tim 2:15)

8. We take it too lightly that we have the blessing and honor of having God’s
Scriptures in our possession. (Ps 119:16; Acts 13:44; Neh 8:9)

9. There has never been more access to the Word of God, yet so little reading
of it. (1Tim 4:13; Neh 8:1-3; Ps 119:59)

10. Some read the Scriptures to attain knowledge, but do not practice what they
read. (Jam 1:22; Mt 7:21; 3Jn 4)

11. Worship has become an idol in many “churches”. The music often resembles
that of the world. (Amos 5:23; Phil 4:8; 1Jn 5:21)

12. The world is shaping the views of the “church” more than the “church”
shaping the world. (Rom 12:2; Mt 5:13; 1Cor 1:22-23)

13. The “church” spends more money on dog food than on missions. (2Cor 9:6; Lk
21:2; Acts 4:34-35)

14. We take lightly the cost of discipleship laid out by Jesus Christ and do
not deny our lives. (Lk 14:33; Lk 14:26-27; Mt 8:19-20)

15. There is a lack of true discipleship and making others to be obedient
disciples. (Mt 28:20; 2Tim 2:2; 2Tim 2:14)

16. Many subscribe to the error that parts of life are to be spiritual while
others are to be secular. (1Pt 4:2; Col 3:3; 1Jn 2:6)

17. Modern Christians often find Jesus’ command to sacrifice and serve
abhorrent. (Phil 2:21; Jam 3:16; Rom 12:1-2)

18. Self disciplines in the Christian life such as fasting and praying are
considered legalistic. (2Tim 2:21; 2Tim 1:8; Mt 6:17)

19. Little thought and contemplation is put towards the lostness of men, the
seriousness of the Gospel. (Phil 3:8; Gal 2:20; Heb 10:34)

20. We are living with an epidemic of cheap grace with flippant confession and
shallow consecration. (Lk 14:28-30; Lk 14:26; Jam 4:8)

21. Since the inception of the Church, the Gospel had the requirements of
repentance and discipleship. (Acts 2:38; Lk 14:26; Jn 8:31)

22. Now forgiveness is offered without repentance, discipleship without
obedience, salvation without sanctity. (Heb 10:29; 4:11; Lk 13:24)

23. Introspection, counting the cost, godly sorrow over sin, are all foreign to
many in the “church”. (Acts 2:37; Ps 119:9; Heb 6:1-2)

24. The modern church loves itself more than its neighbor. (1Cor 3:3; Gal 5:13;
Phil 2:3)

25. The church must repent of its idolization of personality, and of business
principles. (2Cor 2:17; 1Cor 3:5; 1Cor 12:23)

26. Many elders and pastors of the “church” sadly are fleecing the flock to
supply their own wants. (Jn 10:12-13; 1Pt 5:2-3; Rev 2:15)

27. The qualities most in demand in today’s pastorate are frequently foreign to
the Scriptures. (1Tim 3:2-3; 1Tim 3:5; 1Tim 1:5-7)

28. The professionalization of the pastorate is a sin and needs to be repented
of. (2Cor 11:13; Gal 3:1; Gal 2:6)

29. There must be repentance for the ambitious desire and idolization of the
celebrity pastorate. (3Jn 9; Jer 17:5; 1Cor 12:22)

30. Pastors must trust the Spirit, not statistics. (2Sam 24:1; 1Cor 1:25; Rom
8:14)

31. Modern day prophets are being stoned by criticism and neglect. (2Tim 4:3-4;
Gal 1:10; Jer 1:7-8)

32. God’s prophets are ill-treated and shunned by most “christians” considered
too harsh or extreme. (Jer 6:10; Isa 6:9-10; Gal 4:16)

33. The prophets prophesy falsely, priests rule by their own power; and my
people love to have it so. (Mt 24:4, 11-12; 1Cor 1:19, Jude 8 )

34. There are many false gospels being preached from pulpits in our day. (2Cor
11:4; Gal 1:8-9; Jude 16)

35. There is an epidemic of a “mock” salvation message. It is correct in
doctrine, but false in reality. (2Cor 3:6; 1Jn 5:11-12; Rom 8:9)

36. A salvation that does not make men holy is trusted in by a deceived
multitude. (Jude 4; Rom 8:1; Rom 6:17-18)

37. There is a needed perseverance in the truths of the Gospel without
unbelief. (Eph 1:1; Heb 6:11-12; Heb 10:26-27)

38. A great need is to see “christians” become saints in actual experience.
(1Jn 2:29; Col 3:5-8; Tit 3:8)

39. Many professors of religion are forbidding people to be a part of the holy
body of Christ. (Mt 23:13; Ps 119:1-2; 2Pt 1:3-4)

40. Preaching has become all about the happiness of man and not the glory of
God. (Jn 6:26; Rom 4:20; 1Pt 4:11)

41. Preachers give smooth words to entice men, yet very few give any words of
correction or rebuke. (Jer 6:14; Pro 1:23; 1Tim 5:20)

42. Run from gospels that focus on our success and prosperity in the name of
Jesus Christ. (Jn 2:16; Acts 20:33; Jer 6:13)

43. Run from gospels that focus on self-improvement. (1Tim 6:5; Heb 12:14; Jam
4:14)

44. Run from churches where men, and not Christ, are glorified. (Col 1:18; Jude
25; Jn 16:14)

45. Run from churches where there is no Bible, no cross, no mention of the
blood of Christ. (1Pt 1:18-19; Eph 3:13; Rev 1:5)

46. Run from churches where the worship leaves you cold, where there’s no sense
of God’s presence. (1Cor 5:4; Ps 80:14-15; Jer 12:11)

47. Run from churches where you’re comfortable in your sin. (1Cor 14:25; Heb
10:30-31; Heb 4:13)

48. Run from churches that use the pulpit of God for a personal agenda. (Jude
10-11,19; 3Jn 9)

49. Run from those who preach division between races and cultures. (Jam 2:4,
Gal 3:28, Rev 5:9)

50. Run from ungodly, spasmodic movements and endless empty prophesying. (Jer
5:13; 1Cor 14:33, 1Jn 2:16)

51. Run from preachers who tell mostly stories and jokes. (Eph 5:4; Tit 1:8;
2:12)

52. Run from those that are only after money, who use one gimmick after another
to get your money. (2Pt 2:3; 2Cor 12:14; 1Cor 9:18)

53. The phrase “accept Jesus as your personal Saviour” is not found in the
Scriptures. (Rom 10:9-10; Col 1:13; Acts 26:20)

54. Evidence of true conversion does not seem important to modern day
Christians. (1Jn 2:6; 1Jn 4:17; Mt 7:20)

55. Thousands of sinners think of God as having only one attribute: Love! But
they continue in sin. (Rom 1:18; Acts 5:11; Ps 2:12)

56. “God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life!” has hindered true
evangelism. (Rom 3:19; Acts 26:18; Phil 3:18-21)

57. A Gospel of love and grace only, without the law of God being preached.
This is a doctrine of Satan. (2Tim 4:3-4; Rom 2:4-5; 3:19)

58. There has clearly arisen a careless mixture of 20th century reasoning with
God’s revelation. (Col 2:8; Rom 1:25; Gal 1:6)

59. Decisionism and the “sinner’s prayer” has been a major cause of false
conversions in the “church”. (2Pt 2:1-2; Eph 2:4-5; 2Cor 5:17-18)

60. Many will be surprised to hear Jesus say, “I never knew you, depart from
me.” (Mt 7:22-23; 1Cor 6:9-10; Gal 5:19-21)

61. Men have taken the place of the Holy Spirit in confirming men in their
supposed salvation. (1Jn 2:3-5; 2Ths 1:8; Gal 6:12-15)

62. The doctrine of hell and eternal suffering is something little grasped by
most professing “christians”. (Mt 13:42; Jam 5:1; Ps 9:17)

63. The judgment seat of Christ is perhaps one of the most neglected topics in
the modern pulpit. (2Cor 5:10; Rom 14:10; 1Cor 3:13)

64. The second coming of Christ needs to be re-instated as the church’s general
thrust and burden. (1Jn 3:2-3; Col 3:4-6; 1Ths 4:14-17)

65. The church has lost the fear of God and has over emphasized the love of
God. (Heb 12:28-29; Lk 12:5; Heb 10:31)

66. The church has left evangelism to a few trained professionals. (Acts 8:1,4;
Acts 4:29; Rom 10:14)

67. Repentance is considered a one-time act in modern evangelism rather than a
way of life. (Rev 3:19; Heb 12:17; 2Pt 3:9)

68. The Lordship of Jesus Christ is something that is not taught in many
pulpits. (Acts 2:36; 1Cor 12:3; Rom 6:18)

69. Many in “churches” are not open to correction, church discipline or rebuke.
(1Cor 5:5; 1Cor 11:31-32; Heb 12:7-9)

70. Some preach salvation as a theory instead of persuading men to come to
Christ. (Jn 5:40; Col 1:28; 2Cor 4:5)

71. There has been a loss of the fullness and majesty of the gospel. (1Tim
1:11; Jude 25; Rom 15:29)

72. There is little mention of sin or the depravity of man from “church”
pulpits. (Jn 3:20; Gal 5:19-21; Eph 5:5)

73. Covetousness, consumerism, and coddling of the world’s goods does not
appear wrong. (Jer 22:17; 1Jn 2:15-16; 1Tim 3:3)

74. Little is made of the resurrection of Jesus Christ in churches or in
evangelism. (1Cor 15:14-15; Acts 4:10, 33)

75. The “church” has relied more on technology than God. (Zech 4:6; 1Cor 1:21;
2:4)

76. The prayer meeting is considered one of the least important meetings in the
“church”. (1Tim 2:1; Acts 4:31; Phil 4:6)

77. Pastors have never prayed less than they do in the “church” today. (Jer
10:21; Phil 2:21; Eph 6:18-19)

78. Very few are waiting on God for His direction and purpose for His Church.
(Eph 1:11; Ps 37:7; Isa 40:31)

79. The “church” has many organizers, but few agonizers. (Phil 3:18-19; Rom 9:1-
3; Jer 9:1)

80. We need to have the gifts of the Spirit restored again to the “church”.
(2Tim 4:2; 1Cor 14:39; 1Cor 12:31)

81. A serious, sober, self-controlled Christianity is very seldom found or
preached. (2Pt 3:11; 1Pt 4:7; Jude 3)

82. The “church” at large has forgotten how to pray. (1Jn 3:22; Acts 6:4; 1Ths
5:17)

83. Many “churches” are more dependent on tradition than the leading of the
Holy Spirit. (Mk 7:13; Acts 16:6; Acts 13:2)

84. Multitudes of professors preach and teach: that you cannot be freed from
sin. (Rom 16:18; Rom 6:1-2; 2Pt 2:1)

85. The Apostles and Christ always preached the possibility to walk free from
sin. (Tit 2:11-12; 1Pt 1:14-16; Rom 6:19)

86. Sinners are not saved to sin, but rather, saved to holiness and good works.
(Rom 6:13; Eph 2:10; 2Pt 3:14)

87. Cheap grace means the justification of sin without the justification of the
sinner. (2Tim 2:19; 1Pt 4:17-18; 2Tim 3:12)

88. A baptism of holiness, a demonstration of godly living is the crying need
of our day. (1Tim 6:3; 2Ths 3:6; 2Ths 2:13)

89. Many are confused about obedience, and good works that are readily
mentioned in the Scriptures. (Tit 3:8; Jn 10:32; Rev 3:15)

90. Little emphasis is put on the plan of God to make us like Jesus Christ in
“churches”. (1Pt 1:14-16; 1Jn 2:6; 1Pt 4:1)

91. Christ did not die on the cross to obtain a worldly “church” but for a
“glorious Church.” (Eph 5:27; Tit 2:14; Col 4:12)

92. Christ does not come into an unregenerate and impure heart as many
contemporary theologians say. (2Cor 5:17; Mt 5:8; Eze 18:31)

93. A holy Church is God’s blessing to the world; an unholy “church” is God’s
judgment upon the world. (Mt 5:14,16; Eph 4:1; 1Ths 2:12)

94. If Christianity is to make any headway in the present time, it must be
proved to be more than a theory. (2Ths 3:6-7; 1Ths 4:1,11-12)

95. Unbelief has gagged and bound us as risen Lazarus! We need release in this
final hour! (Heb 3:12-14; 1Cor 3:21-23; Heb 11:6)

Why God Really Hates Homosexuality

By Bishop Bob Sharp – AWCF Secretary of International Ministries

Upon reading the recent article from Bishop Samuel Smith, “No Saints In Sodom”, my mind went back to a book I had read several years ago by Alan Sears & Craig Osten entitled “The Homosexual Agenda”. I pulled the book from my shelf and reread enough of it to come to the determination that Satan is trying with all the forces of hell to force homosexuality down the throats of every American.

We have heard it said that “homosexuality is just another sin and God is a merciful God and will surely forgive this sin also”. But when I go to the Word of God I find that God views homosexuality differently than other sins. The Bible calls it an abomination, that which is abhorred by God and warrants death to the offender.

I then began to realize why God despises the act of homosexuality. We must start in the beginning, back to the creation of Adam and Eve.

We find in the creation story in Genesis 1:28, that after God created every creature, including man, He issued His first commandment; “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the Earth, and subdue it”. So the primal purpose of creation was to fill the earth with the offspring of His handiwork in the very image of Himself. This commandment gave Godly significance to the sexual relationship between a man and a woman. God wanted man to exercise the dominion He had given him by filling the Earth with His offspring and that each new generation would give greater glory to God.

In today’s world there are numerous factors that work against this original commandment from God. Homosexuality of course is number one because man and man, or woman and woman cannot reproduce. The homosexual community has tried to fill this emptiness in their relationship with adoption, (but it still took a man and woman to produce the adopted child), lesbians have had artificial insemination and in vitriol fertilization but it still takes the female egg and the male seed to accomplish this. So God’s commandment is still not fulfilled and the lifestyle is still abomination to God.

But there are other aspects of today’s lifestyles that I believe are equally disobedient to God’s initial commandment. Abortion, which is truthfully murder of a living fetus, stifles a life before the child is even given a chance feel the love of a mother and father. Mankind has become so callused, that an unborn fetus can be pulled feet first from the mother’s womb, with only the upper portion of the head remaining in the birth canal, a sharp instrument pierces the back of the neck and an egg beater type device scrambles the brain while the child wiggles and wreaths in pain, and we are told it’s ok because the child had never taken a breath. If this causes great sorrow on our part, how much more must it sting the very heart of God?

Then there is birth control, which is not murder, but blocks one of the main purposes that God created man and woman for. In Genesis 38:9, when Onan spilled his seed on the ground instead of fulfilling his duty to his dead brother’s wife, God was displeased and slew him. Here again, we see mankind trying to use the pleasures of sex for only self gratification and not to fulfill the commandment of God.

Lastly, greed and materialism have become the way of life for America and most of the industrialized world. We tend to look down on the families with 7 or 8 or God forbid 12 children, we think “what’s wrong with them, don’t they know what causes all those kids?” We want the American dream, two cars in the garage, one of them new and expensive (BMW or better), bigger and bigger houses, so big we have to have someone come in and clean them for us, (no criticism intended), money in the bank, outdo the neighbors, be proud, be important, etc. I’ve heard the statement many times in my pastoral career, “If we have any more children, I can’t have the “toys” I want”, or “Well I couldn’t give another child the things that he really needs.” Have we forgotten that what children need the most is the love of two parents that will raise them up in righteousness and teach them the ways of God?

The two families on The Learning Channel that have 19 kids, the Duggars from Arkansas and the Bates from Missouri, receive hate mail, extensive criticism and even occasional threats from viewers. They are told they have too many children and their green footprint is harming the world. Now who is the crazy one? If you closely view these programs and follow their lives, you will find the children are well educated, well mannered, chaste and godly in word and deed. There modesty and un-promiscuousness is so inbreed that they don’t date without a chaperon or even kiss until marriage. And in both cases these families have been blessed to the extent that not one child has ever had to “do without”. We remember as a child that it was nothing to have neighbors with 8 to 12 children. I come from a family of seven and we never starved or did without the real necessities of life, although I never had a $350 pair of Nikes.

In finalization, I don’t know if we should proclaim that every couple (that’s one man and one woman) should produce all the children they possibly could, but the Islamic community is reproducing at a rate almost five times greater than the Christian community. At this rate, all Islam has to do is wait a few generations and they will convert the world through obeying the original commandment of God in Genesis 1. In summation, God had an original plan for populating the Earth, and like so many of His other commandments, many have pushed them aside for self pleasure, greed and materialism.

Sin at the Ballot Box?

by Bishop David Fuller

1 Corinthians 4:2 (KJV) Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

This election is probably the most important election in American history. Is it possible to displease God by the way we vote? Is it possible to displease Him by not voting? I believe that the answer to both of these questions is "yes!"

The Bible teaches us that we are stewards appointed by God. A steward is one who takes care of another man's business or possessions. Our stewardship is reflected in the way we live our lives, how we spend our time, how we manage our money, and how we take care of the things that God has given us.

Our freedom is a gift from God! They have been preserved by courageous men and women for over 200 years! They have been given to us by God and passed on to us by our forefathers. We have a sacred responsibility to ensure that these freedoms are passed on to our children, grandchildren, and future generations.

Some people choose not to become involved in the electoral process. They argue that we should not be concerned with the things of this world. They also contend that we often do not have a good candidate, and that we have to choose between “the lesser of two evils.”

There probably never has been a perfect candidate because there are no perfect people. So we have to choose the best candidate available! If we do not vote we are abandoning our responsibilities as stewards over what God has given us!

How do we choose the best candidate available? As Christians we must choose the candidate whose views are closest to Biblical teaching. One of the candidates, who is the incumbent, supports abortion at any stage of the pregnancy. He also has endorsed same-sex marriage. He has also said that we should distance ourselves from Israel.

The other candidate does not endorse abortion. He defines marriage as the Scriptures defines it. He says that America must always be closely aligned with Israel!

God said that He would bless those that bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel! See Genesis 12:2, 3.

The President seems reluctant to condemn Islamic terrorists even after they have killed our ambassador, members of our embassy staff, and some of our soldiers at our embassy in Libya. He even blames the riots in Libya and Egypt, not on the terrorists, but on a video that someone made offending Muslims.

With these things in view the choice should be easy! I do not understand how Christians can vote for someone who believes that it is alright to take the life of a baby in the womb of his mother even in the final stages of the pregnancy. I cannot comprehend how Christians can vote for someone who endorses same-sex marriage when we have a candidate whose views on these matters are in agreement with Biblical teaching! I believe that if we do not vote for the best candidate available that we are failing in our Christian stewardship!

We must pray that God's will be done in this election! 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV) If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
The "Dominant Lie"
by Andrew Strom

Let me place this question before you: Is there one dominant, over-riding LIE that the devil has sold the Western world in the last forty years or so, that greatly hinders men and women coming to Christ? I believe so.

Let's think for a moment about the 'strongholds' and "dominant lies" which the devil has established in this modern generation - and which hinder people today from believing the gospel. A man wrote to me one time and mentioned that we can't preach "sin" these days, because many young people hardly know what sin is any more. The man is absolutely right. (And of course, this totally strips the gospel of it's historic power). But since when has this been the case?

There can be no doubt that the watershed or "revolution" that ushered in this worldview largely occurred in the late 1960s.Here is what it amounted to (particularly amongst the youth)- "Sin" as a concept was suddenly abolished. Moral absolutes were thrown out. Everything
became no longer black or white, but varying shades of grey. "Be happy, feel free, do what you want, cast off the shackles of outmoded morals and values.

Be liberated. Do what you feel..." etc. And so it still is today. A completely 'non-judgemental' (ie. no right or wrong) approach to everything. So long as you don't "hurt" anybody, you can do as you please. You can sleep with anyone (of any sex), you can abort your babies, you can taste any pleasure, you can believe in any 'god' (including yourself). As many commen- tators have noted, today the worst sin you can be accused of is being "judgmental". (And then will come the storm: "How dare you apply your value system to ME? How dare you call what I'm doing 'wrong'?")

Thus in many ways, 'Sin' has almost ceased to exist in people's thinking and beliefs. And if you wipe out the concept of 'Sin', then you wipe out a massive part of the basic gospel itself. For the only reason Jesus had to come was to DEAL WITH MEN'S SIN. If there is no onsciousness of sin, then the gospel ceases to make any sense. Why do I need forgiveness? Why do I need to repent? Why did Jesus die in the first place? The cross is made of NO EFFECT without a consciousness of Sin.

This is why all the great Revivalists emphasised Sin, and the only remedy -Jesus. If you feel you have little sin, then you will feel little need of Jesus. And then the gospel can become neutralized. The devil knows this. He has seen many Revivals and he knows if he can stop
people becoming convicted of their sin, then he can stop them from responding to the gospel in significant numbers. Why is there hardly any conviction of sin amongst today's generation? Because in the 1960's the whole concept of it was virtually abolished (and still is). It's as simple as that.

Now, if we wish to see true Revival amongst today's generation, what do we need to do? REFUTE THIS DOMINANT LIE. We have no option. We need to re-introduce and preach the concept of "sin" again. No consciousness of sin - no true conversion. For what is there to repent of? The gospel almost entirely loses it's power without this.

Ever since the late 1960s we can see the fruit of this "dominant lie" in the complete mess that modern relationships have become. Teenage sex, single mothers, abortions skyrocketing, absent fathers, an epidemic of divorce, drugs, broken families, poverty, etc. What were the results of throwing away all morality and restraint? What were the results of 'free love' and "if it feels good, do it"? It is all there for everyone to see. But the sad fact is, this lie is now so dominant and so ingrained that it would take almost a literal "revolution" again to topple it. It utterly dominates today's Christianity, as well as the world.

May there indeed come such a 'revolution', my friends. May the "John-the-Baptist" preachers rise again! May conviction of sin return, that
people might run to Jesus - the only one who can wash away their sins and truly make them clean.

Apostolic Revival - Why?by Bishop Samuel Smith

Certainly, no religious figure in our time has had a better vantage point for observing Christianity, relative to world events, than Billy Graham. He has said: “What the world needs, is an apostolic revival.” Who would disagree that denominationalism and orthodoxy has failed to present Christ to mankind in His true glory and power? Graham is wrong, as well as others, who think that apostolic revival can occur without apostolic faith, attitude, behavior, and yes…apostolic doctrine!
Revival languishes because secular Christianity ignores the glorious history of the true New Testament church, while Apostolics are so busy living in the past that they fail to realize the glorious destiny of the end-time church. One cannot succeed in this high speed, end-time race, while focusing on the rearview mirror.
There are divine combinations in the Bible; each without the other is incomplete. Old and New Testaments, Law and Grace, Father and Son, Faith and Works, Spirit and Truth; each compliments and fulfills the other, thus creating Biblical balance.

There is another divine combination; “the People and the Times!” The Church, rich in apostolic faith, attitude, behavior, and doctrine, has come to the Kingdom for an hour such as this; “ …but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits” (Daniel 11:32).
To reason that the traditional denominational church can compete with the “isms” and evil spirits of the prophesied “last days,” while ignoring the lessons of its’ history at the expense of Biblical revelation, is more that arrogance run amok, it is fatal! To waste the precious time that remains, and not “... work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work” (John 9:4), is truly sinful!
Someone has got to get it all together! “Oh God, I pray, help us to learn from the past, maintain the faith, proceed in divine revelation, and preach the Gospel of Christ to every creature by means of the power and demonstration of the Holy Ghost!”
Scriptural History has prepared us... the worldwide Apostolic Church has been brought to the Kingdom for an hour such as this; now prophetic Destiny opens the door, and bids us go through. “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14).
“Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation” (Acts 2:37-40).
If not us… who? If not here… where? If not now…when? If not at all…we perish!

10 Signs That You Are A Christian

1 - You vigorously deny the existence of thousands of Gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.

2 - You feel insulted and"dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt.

3 - You laugh at polytheists (those who believe in many Gods), but you have no problem believing in a Triune God.

4 - You feel disgust when you hear of the "atrocities" attributed to Allah, but you don't even flinch when hearing about how God/Jehovah slaughtered all the babies of Egypt in "Exodus" and ordered the elimination of entire ethnic groups in "Joshua" including women, children, and trees!

5 - You laugh at Hindu beliefs that worships humans as avatars, and Greek claims about gods sleeping with women, but you have no problem believing that the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary, who then gave birth to a man-god who got killed, came back to life and then ascended into the sky.

6 - You are willing to spend your life looking for little loopholes in the scientifically established facts, e.g. age of Earth (few billion years), but you find nothing wrong with believing dates recorded by Bronze Age tribesmen sitting in their tents and guessing that Earth is a few generations old.

7 - You believe that the entire population of this planet with the exception of those who share your beliefs -- though excluding those in all rival sects - will spend Eternity in an infinite Hell of Suffering. And yet consider your religion the most"tolerant" and "loving."

8 - While modern science, history, geology, biology, and physics have failed to convince you otherwise, some crazy people rolling around on the floor speaking in "tongues" may be all the evidence you need to "prove"Christianity.

9 - You define 0.01% as a "high success rate" when it comes to answered prayers. You consider that to be evidence that prayer works. And you think that the remaining 99.99% FAILURE was simply the will of God.

10 - You actually know a lot less than many atheists and agnostics do about the Bible, Christianity, and church history - but still call yourself a christian.

Singer, Goldie Becomes Preacher, Preaches On "Seven Deadly Sins"

Singer, Susan Oluwabimpe Harvey popularly called Goldie who was rumoured to be dating Prezzo late last year has apparently become born again.

According to her, she woke up and a particular nagging though wouldn’t leave her head and she has decided to pour it out.
Read her write up below:

"I woke up this morning and this thought wouldn't leave my head: The 7 deadly Sins".

I don't know why it kept ringing in my head as I hadn't watched a movie or even read anything similar to the subject before I went to bed or even in recent times.
However, never being one to ignore the signs, I decided to do a little research and read up on "The 7 deadly sins" and it definitely was an eye opener.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Proverbs 6:16-19. "There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him:
Haughty eyes, (Pride),  A lying tongue,(A Liar), Hands that shed innocent blood,(Murderer), A heart that devises wicked schemes, Feet that are quick to rush into evil, A false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community"(Gossip).
The real 7 sins however are; Lust. Gluttony. Greed. Sloth. Wrath. Envy. Pride.
Lust: Doesn't relate to just anything sexual, but relates to an obsession with pleasure. A disordered desire for inordinate physical enjoyment. Anyone who can't get enough of a "good" thing so much that it turns bad is lustful.
Gluttony: Gluttony isn't just about excessive eating, it pertains to wanting anything in excessive amounts even when you have no use for it. Anyone who wants more than they need or can make use of at any point in time is a glutton.
Greed: Pertains to an obsessive desire for material wealth and Power. A desire to amass any and everything the world has to offer. Anyone who revels in the attainment of wealth and power in order to be better than and/or have control over others is greedy.
Sloth: Sloth is a kind of spiritual laziness as opposed to mere physical fatigue. It means not making it a priority to do what we should, or change what we should in ourselves. Some people might call it apathy, which means a lack of feeling. An example of sloth is someone avoiding to do the right thing due to a lack of personal motivation.
Wrath: Wrath or anger is an emotion that makes us want do hostile things to each other. It isn't the "anger" itself that is the sin, but the actions it leads us to should we allow it to. An example of an action anger can cause is vengeance.
Envy: Envy is the love of what other people possess, rather than what is Good, Beautiful and True. Anyone who covets what people around him/her have and wishes it was theirs is envious.
Pride: Pride is actually at the root of all sin.  That is why it is listed first and that's why I'm talking about it last. This is because pride is first and foremost inherent in all sin. Proud people are those that look condescendingly on others. They look at others as inferior in an arrogant way and see themselves as better than everyone else.
It is pride that makes you envious. It is pride that makes you angry. It is pride that makes you greedy. Pride is the root cause of lust! Of gluttony! and if you look closely, of sloth too. Laziness comes out of believing, you're too good to do something or an action is beneath you, therefore you do nothing.
In conclusion, after my research I believe that if we all let go of pride, a lot of wrongs in the world would turn right.
